Muslim Flow

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-10-02

Muslim Flow is built to work without an account. This page explains in plain language what the app uses on your device, what it sends over the internet, and the choices you have.

No account neededUse every feature without signing up or giving your name or email.
No ads or trackingThe app has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools.
Stays on your deviceSettings, progress and favorites are stored locally, not uploaded to us.

What this policy covers

Muslim Flow is a prayer, Quran, Qibla, adhkar and daily-worship app. It does not build a profile about you. To work, it uses your location while the app is open, storage on your device and a few public content services described below.

  • There are no user accounts in the app.
  • The app does not upload your data to a server operated by us.
  • What you save stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

Location

Used only while the app is open, to work out prayer times and the Qibla direction.

  • Location is requested only when a feature needs it, and you can refuse. Without it, prayer times and the Qibla direction cannot be worked out for your position.
  • The Qibla direction is calculated on your device. For prayer times the app sends your coordinates to the AlAdhan prayer-times service; if it cannot be reached, the times are calculated on your device instead.
  • A city and country name is looked up with your device’s built-in geocoding service, which is provided by Apple or Google.
  • Your last location is saved on your device so the app opens quickly. It is not uploaded to us.
  • In Malaysia the app first asks the official JAKIM e-Solat service for the times of your prayer zone and sends only a zone code. If that service is unavailable, it uses AlAdhan as described above.
  • The app does not track your location in the background.

Notifications and alarms

Reminders are scheduled on your device.

  • The adhan, prayer reminders, day-planner reminders and Islamic-event reminders are local notifications. No push-notification server is used.
  • On Android the app may ask for permission to schedule exact alarms so the adhan sounds on time.
  • Notifications are optional. You can turn prayer notifications off in Settings or in your device settings.
  • Blog notifications are also local: the app reads the times of upcoming posts from the blog and schedules them on your device. You can turn them off in Settings.

Information stored on your device

The app remembers your choices and progress locally.

  • Settings such as language, theme, time format, Quran translation, reciter and font size.
  • Quran favorites, reading position and downloaded Surah audio.
  • Tasbeeh and adhkar counters, favorites, and the duas you marked as read.
  • Day-planner tasks and their reminder times.
  • Saved prayer times and content so the app keeps working offline.
  • Blog posts you opened, and the posts you liked.
  • None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes it.

Content and internet services

Some features load public content. These services see standard technical information, such as your IP address, like any website would.

  • Prayer times: JAKIM e-Solat (Malaysia) and AlAdhan.
  • Adhkar text: the adhkar content service at api.islamic.app.
  • Quran audio: MP3Quran (mp3quran.net), the Islamic Network audio CDN and Al Quran Cloud.
  • Tafsir: Quran Tafseer and QuranEnc.
  • Connection check: the app contacts a Google connectivity-check address to find out whether you are online.
  • Blog: posts and pictures are loaded from the blog website, hosted on GitHub Pages.
  • These requests do not include your name or an account identifier. Each service has its own privacy policy.

Compass, audio and device features

Some features use your device’s hardware.

  • The Qibla compass reads your device heading through the system location services. Heading data is used on the device only and is not stored or sent.
  • Vibration and haptic feedback are used for counters and Qibla alignment, and can be turned off in Settings.
  • Quran audio can keep playing in the background through a media notification.
  • The app does not use your microphone or camera.

Sharing

Sharing happens only when you tap a share button.

  • Shared text or images, such as an ayah, a dua, an adhkar item or the app link, are handed to the app you choose. We do not receive or store them.
  • Shared messages include the app name and a store link so others can find the app.
  • Support emails open in your own email app. We only receive what you send.
  • If you tap Save on a blog picture, it is added to your photo library. The app can add pictures but cannot read your photos.

No selling, ads or tracking

Your information is not a product.

  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • The app contains no advertising and no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
  • Your location and worship activity are never used for advertising.

Keeping and deleting data

You control the data the app stores.

  • Local data stays on your device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app.
  • Downloaded audio is removed the same way.
  • We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Security

Simple steps that protect your information.

  • The app connects to content services over secure HTTPS connections.
  • Because your data stays on your device, your device lock screen is the best protection for it.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages.

  • The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

You decide what the app can use.

  • Allow, deny or change location and notification access at any time in your device settings.
  • Turn prayer notifications and Qibla sound or vibration off in Settings.
  • Use the app offline: Quran text, duas and downloaded audio work without an internet connection.
  • Clear local data in your device settings, or uninstall the app.

Changes to this policy

You will see updates here.

  • If the app starts to use accounts, analytics, advertising or cloud sync, this policy will be updated first, with a new date shown at the top.
